I recently had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia Libow Martinez, co-author of the book "Invent to Learn: Making, Tinkering, and Engineering in the Classroom.” This is another great resource for makers and educators. In the spirit of this book (and the others I’ve recommended) let’s make this a STEM-filled summer.
SolarPuff Kickstarter
I just supported this awesome Kickstarter project, where a group of people solved a major world problem - lack of electrical light - with a simple technological solution. The SolarPuff and SolarHelix are solar-powered lamps that replace the use of kerosene for light in developing countries, and are great for emergency use by first responders! Joan Horvath and Rich Cameron just came out with their book, The New Shop Class: Getting Started with 3D Printing, Arduino, and Wearable Tech!
