-When soldering the male pin headers onto the shield, I would recommend sliding them into the female headers on the actual Arduino so that they are correctly aligned on the board. This prevents warping or misalignment.
-If you are planning to incorporate this motor shield in a project, I would recommend adding female pin headers on top of the shield (not included in the kit) so you can prototype on top before finalizing.
